Mom loves her sweets she refuses to give them up. For the most part her a1c is under control.

When she was in the nursing home she cried for a soda but they had her on a strict diet for diabetes. Luckily she was only in there three days. I had no peace during those days.

It can be a difficult thing to control. That bottle of regular coke lasted me a bit as I just drank a small bit as needed for lows. Been more active than I usually am due to moving between apts. so I've had more lows than I normally do. Coke keeps its fizz longer than Pepsi I think. I did drink a lot of Pepsi (in the old glass bottles) when I was a kid. Not sure they even bottle in those bottles any more.
