I've started having the same issue as DragonofEden with my Kobo Glo HD. I've tried everything I can think of. Two different charge cables. Paperclip in the hole. Opened the back and detached the battery. Also have the red light under the power button. Does it turn green after it's charged?
If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I'm on vacation and going nuts with nothing to read!
