I have my library backed up in the cloud, on my personal cloud, a hard drive and a flash drive. I have Calibre installed on my Surface Pro 4 and the Calibre Library is on a flash drive plugged into the USB port. I rarely decide in advance what I want to read next and prefer to have my complete library available. I do not think that everyone has to follow my example either.
