People always complain the pace of ereader evolution has slowed and there isn't much of an upgrade to new models. cedsoft is right, Amazon tried to be innovate in some way, and yet some people just want to rubbish it and say oh but it doesn't have this that or the next thing.

Besides, not everyone wants a bigger screen, not everyone wants more fonts, not everyone wants the same thing. Some people like physical buttons, some like a design with a bigger bezel to hold onto, some people like things you personally don't.

I'd credit Kobo for trying to offer something different to Amazon with their increased customisation and bigger screens, but I'd also say the same for Amazon with the design of the Oasis. And if a new version is on the way, only Amazon know whether or not it is a good idea for them to just make small tweaks to the Oasis or give it up altogether.
