Well, I just had my own fun and games with Amazon sending me an incorrect phone. I had preordered a
Moto E4 Plus, a brand-new release that just came out today. Amazon showed the 32gb version for $180; it's supposed to be a 4G phone, fully compatible with AT&T, which is my network.
Since it needs a nano SIM card, different from the card my old phone uses, I contacted AT&T. When I told AT&T the IMEI number, they said the phone was a 2G phone not compatible with the AT&T network. Meanwhile, when I looked at the box to read off that number, I noticed that the label indicated the phone was 16gb, not 32gb--and when I checked the phone itself, sure enough--16gb.
So--absolutely not compatible, and wrong phone to boot. Amazon rep was kind of incredulous and took down all the info and initiated the return, but I don't get any perks. Bah.
After finally deciding on this phone, I am so bummed. I was afraid to ask for a replacement, because I might get another incompatible phone, so I'm getting a refund. And so I'm still stuck with my stupid, lousy old phone. Poor me.
