I dont think this is generally possible to do. The problem is that HTTP headers should be ascii only for maximum compatibility see for example https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...header-in-http

As PerterT said, if you want to browse large colelctions of downloaded books on your device, you should really get hold of some app that can understand ebook metadata. There are many apps that know how to talk to the calibre content server.
