Looking at Windows firewall, I saw a list of like a hundred "private networks" Not Connected in there, all the same name as my N wireless network. I reset my pc's network settings (using Windows' "reset pc" option), and rebooted. Probably as a result of my testing last week when I disabled private network. This was the only change I had made to Windows firewall.
To my knowledge nothing is changed. This is basically back the way it was when this started, so I can't report what has changed. I re-established my secured network connection without issue. I disabled Windows Firewall and rebooted, then re-enabled it.
Bottom line, my CC then connected to Calibre.
Funny now Windows shows I have no network connection, however I obviously have one (google it, you'll see may unresolved threads inquiring about this with microsoft).
Freaking microsoft - I told you this would be their fault.
Another NO vote for Windows 10.
Thanks for your help, and sorry for the hassle.
IF for any reason this stops working again, or if I can provide any further info I'll come back to you.
