If you have not let the new one update yet, you will be able to jailbreak that one.

We have found that the jailbreak protection ( for now ) is not applied in the factory, but applied when it gets it's first update over wifi or USB.

So if you get that new kindle, and do not hook it up to wifi ( press yes to wifi, but instead of choosing the name, hit cancel ). You should be able to do all of the jailbreaking steps on it.
