Hi Geanico,
If you really are in last firmware (4.5.9587) and most/all your books are sideloaded kepubs in the MicroSD card, then you've been hit by last bug introduced in this firmware, you loose the reading status, and even worse, the reading position, of those books every time you shutdown the ereader or you connect it to a computer.
I haven't noticed missing also hours read, so maybe your problem is different, or a combination of more than one problem.
