I would describe the series as SciFi, though many of the books take place on planets without much "advanced" technology. The series tends to bounce back and forth between stories set on space ships and those set on planets. The stories are all set in the same universe, but some are completely stand alone works and others feature the same group of characters, while still others feature various other groups of characters (it's not as confusing as it sounds).
Spoiler:
The "Star Cruise: xxx" titles are all set on the same ship so feature the same group of characters, but each features a different h/h. (well technically Marooned takes place on a planet, but the characters are later part of the crew of the Nebula Zephyr).

The h/h in Star Survivor were the secondary couple in Wreck of the Nebula Dream.

The hero in Hostage to the Stars was introduced in Mission to Mahjundar .

The heroines in Star Cruise: Stowaway and Danger in the Stars are sisters. And the heroine from Two Against the Stars is also from their planet, but I haven't read that one yet so not sure if any of the same characters appear or not.


She also writes a paranormal series set in ancient Egypt, but I have not read any of those.
