Personally I don't see the point of having Play Store in Max Carta. Because majority of popular App either doesn't work in Android 4.0 or doesn't work well under e-ink tablet.
I have told them they don't integrate well with existing users' e-book software: like sync book wireless over Calibre and etc.
But they don't give a damn. I'm able to read in Chinese. I visited BOOX forum and learnt that they open Qt SDK. TBH, as a consumer who pays a lot, I don't want to develop any App for you for free. So why bother?
If they can do a better job for software and integration, personally I don't mind if my paying more than $600 out of pocket.

I agree, the hardware is correct from my point of view but the sotfware lacks finishing product.
