Thanks for the replies. From the backward incompatibility section I understand I can't run the GUI and the CLI content-server together but why wouldn't I be able to run calibredb with just the GUI and no server running?

And from what I read, you can use calibredb with the GUI and embedded server? Was my command wrong?
