The Netherlands has its own Schlagers in the form of Jan Smit, Frans Bauer, BZN, most other singers coming out of Volendam, all other sings of the so called 'Levenslied'.
It's all happy, written in a major key, 120 beats-per-minute music about nothing that can't actually be simpler lest you're left with nothing.
