When you set up your Live USB flash drive did you make the flash drive and then copy the *.iso image for the K3 devices to the drive afterwards?

Expand the readme file and follow that and it should work, first you make a bootable flash drive, then you put an *.iso file on it for the flash drive to use when it does the update.

It sounds to me like the flash drive is not finding an image to use for the update.
