I hope in the android upgrading it could be the driver installed, but that's not how it was.

Tried to check the cpu&gpu info of the M96, but only could know the cpu info and the oPenGL version installed. The M96 has a Freescale i.MX 6SoloLite EVK Board, and the OpenGL ES 1.0.
Acording to what you had said, it is not possible to port the OpenGL from the C67Ml because of the different hardware, but maybe it's possible to, collecting info of OpenGL 1.0 installation, do a OpenGL 2.0 install?
