This book is full of instances where a hyphen is used instead of an em-dash. It seems to be prevalent in all of the Philo Vance books I've gotten from Mobileread. They are great in that they have the diagrams, which other versions are missing, but the em-dash problem makes some of the text hard to read.

Also, the author metadata is not set.
