I think I made a mistake by asking my sister to come along to Ikea on Sunday. When I go house sitting I usually go to Ikea some time during the first week. I knew my sister also needed a couple of things and asked her if she wanted to meet there (it'll be a short cycle ride for us both) and she agrees.

The problem is the difference in how each of us approaches shopping. I make a list ahead of time (easy to do in the app, it even lists where you can find the items), I usually don't have to get anything from the showroom upstairs so I head straight towards the departments I need things from. If I take it easy I'm in and out in about an hour (I used to be able to do it quicker, but our Ikea has doubled in size). My sister wants to see everything. I usually give up the will to live halfway through the showroom upstairs and head to the restaurant to get a drink and read until she's done. She's usually a bit quicker downstairs, but I always end up waiting at the snackbar for her again.
