My advise for use: google "instant pot" and chicken ... or whatever you are trying to cook. Find a recipe similar to your desire, and modify the ingredients, but not the time, etc. I'm several months in, and I'm still not willing to convert a recipe from scratch. There's BOUND to be one close to what you want, and your results will be more sure.

PS I also cook "pot in pot" more often than not. This keeps all the splatter contained, and I rarely have to clean the valves and such on the pot's lid.
