Only Windows users should see any difference, and then only if their user name has accented characters in it and on books downloaded using Kindle for PC. However, it would be good to have feedback from other users to make sure nothing's broken.

It worked fine for me on Kindle for Mac. I don't have Calibre setup on Windows.
