We do not have a build of the "factory-only" firmware required for the jailbreak.
The post you describe was one made, asking for image copies of USB storage on brand new Kindles.
We have enough of those to work with now, but are lacking the person required.

The person who extracts those things is away at school, earning a graduate degree.

If your Kindle when it arrives is running a firmware version 5.7.anything, you can install the 'update blocker' directory name described in Step #7 to keep it from updating to something that can't be jailbroken (later).
