For your use-case, it sounds like the light really isn't all that important. For mine, on the other hand, it's what I've been wanting since I first learned to read.

A book with a built in light means that I truly can read anywhere. In bed, in a car at night, in a theater while I'm waiting for the show to start, etc. It also means that if I start reading in the afternoon and continue into the evening, I don't have to turn a light on until it gets *really* dark...and...if it is really dark, I can use my book to find my way around.

It truly is a dream come true for me.
