marssaturn, maybe you did not finished the update? If I remember correctly, the update show some progress then green Success indicator but to close the app you have to confirm (click finish or something... don't remember exactly, the app will tell you). After exiting the MfgTool app ensure you properly eject the usb device from windows.

The 4.4 Android firmware has the top android system bar in white color. In 4.0.4 it was black so you can tell the difference immediately.
