Yep, you nailed it. A good chunk of these offers are designed to bring in brand new customers using specific devices and/or storefronts. It can get most confusing for new customers and quite frustrating for current customers who won't qualify.

Last year, some items were being sold at four different prices at four different storefronts. Some of these deals were restricted to new customers and some weren't. And if you weren't paying attention, you could end up paying $10 more because you ordered it from the wrong store.

You definitely need a scorecard to know what the heck is going on.
