Not necessarily, if the author's name was Madeleine St John, you would want to make the Author sort St John, Madeleine not the default value John, Madeleine St

Tip 1: after typing the name or title, press the tab key and then the space key and that should press the button.

Tip 2: if you change the Title and/or Author in the Book List (F2 in respective cells) the Title Sort and/or Author Sort will be changed according to 'the rules'.
