Since you are using the same Adobe ID, DeDRM works just as well no matter what software you use for the download.

And how is ADE any more future proof if you have to lock yourself in to version 2.0.1 to avoid getting the new DRM scheme?

To me, ADE seems less reliable and polished overall. I get incomplete downloads and accidentally create duplicate files. After returning library books, their epub corpses remain in ADE's folder indefinitely. Large downloads often don't finish and don't resume correctly. When I move ADE's window between high DPI and regular windows, the font often gets stuck in a ridiculously tiny size. There are just a ton of annoyances that come with using it.
