Impossible to add a font to an azw3. Is it a bug?

Hello,

I am kinda new to "seriously" editing ebooks, that's why I am not posting it as a bug to calibre but rather asking.

If I edit an azw3 with calibre internal editor, go to Tools --> Manage fonts and I click the button "Install fonts", the windows file dialog opens. If I select and add a .ttf file (for example verdana.ttf) a popup dialog confirming:

Code:
Font-family added: Verdana
appears.
I would say everything is correct, right? Yet, no font in the Manage Fonts dialog appears.
I have tried converting the ebook to epub and performing the same steps, but the behaviour in that case is different: there, the Verdana font appears in the fonts list.

Is it a bug in calibre editor or am I missing something?
Thanks.
