I wouldn't have remembered the name "Roger Miller," but I eventually may have remembered the name of the song, "King of the Road." Strange what parts you remember. Maybe Father (a smoker who basically smoked his entire life--only Alzheimer's stopped that) said that to Mom, when he ran out of them, and sent her out to get some cigarettes on several occasions when I was a little tyke, and that's why that part of the lyrics stuck with me. Who knows?

If you're interested in the song and/or Roger Miller, you might be able to get recordings of him through FreeGal, if your local library subscribes to it. I've got to check into all of his discography now.
