Yes.
You have to use MrPI to install it now that you have firmware built for customer use.
Put the update_*.bin hotfix package in /mrpackages, disconnect USB cord, then:
Since KUAL is not working (that is what we are fixing) you will have to use the home page, search bar command to run MrPI:
;log mrpi
The semi-colon is part of the command.
No.
It does nothing to the registration.
Just the opposite.
Changing the registration breaks all of our applications.
Check the last entry in MrPI's log to be certain the 'hotfix' package installed.
It is in visible USB storage at:
/extensions/MRInstaller/log/mrinstaller.log
(or something very much like that - I may have typo'd it above)
If the last (very end of the log) installation of the 'hotfix' completed without any errors - then:
Allow the Kindle to connect to the 'net and remain connected long enough for Amazon's servers to update its "Special Offers Status".
Your account page shows what Amazon's servers know.
The Kindle shows what it knows about.
Amazon's servers are the boss, they will make the Kindle change its little mind on the subject.
pressing the 'sync' feature a few times might help, it might not.
