I hope this helps explain them better.
While using the tag browser I'm having problems with the focus of the location on the tag browser when changing authors names or deleting their books.
When I make any changes of an author's name that has 1 or more books, such as, when I swap an author's LN FN to FN LN (using Quality Check) on all their books or delete all of an author's books (1 or many) using any version of Calibre 3 so far; the focus jumps to the top of the authors list.
NOTE: While typing this, I'm doing more testing to make the attached pictures. I'm finding that if the name in the list no longer appears as it was (i.e. LN FN to FN LN) the focus jumps to the top of the list. This happens even if the changed books of the author combines with other books of the same author in the list.
When doing any of these actions in version 2.85.1 or earlier, I don't have these problems. The focus centers on the list at the location of the author being changed or where the author was if deleting all of their books.
Now, all of these changes are being done inside of the booklist area. I change the author's name by clicking on the author(s) area of the booklist or highlighting the book(s) if using the QC button. Also, I remove all books of an author that I'm getting rid of by using CTRL A in the booklist and then using the Remove books button.
Also, I'm using the 64bit version on Windows 7.
Description of the attached pictures:
These pictures are showing changes from version 2.85.1:
Pic01 shows a LN FN that will be changed to FN LN in the list.
Pic02 shows the results of using the Quality Check button. The changed name merges with the other book and the focus stays near the middle.
Pic03 shows the author that I will remove.
Pic04 shows that the removed authors place is now centered in the list.
These pictures are showing changes from version 3.2.1:
Pic05 shows a LN FN that will be changed to FN LN in the list.
Pic06 shows the results of using the Quality Check button. The focus has jumped to the top of the Author tag list.
Pic07 shows the changed author correctly but I had to scroll down to the location.
Pic08 shows the author that I will remove.
Pic09 shows that the focus has jumped to the top of the Author tag list.
