Five minutes later this tingling burning sensation starts in my left fingertips travels up my arm into my brain and down my spine. I had no idea what this was. It was so strange, so foreign. A few minutes later it hit my digestive system hard.
An hour later I got so sick I had to call the factory to send Hubby home from his new job.

I didn't want to but I didn't know what was happening to me. I kept taking my vitals. I had no chest pain just this weird sensation that settled in my arms, back and digestive system while it began purging.

An hour later hubby got home and it would be four hours later before it started to subside.

We decided to check the ingredients on the bars and everything looked fine till half way through it said Sorbitol. After Googling we found out what a severe reaction can do.

I'm still in pain this morning. It's like a very bad GERD episode. I have burning in my arms, back and in my esophagus. I still having bouts of running to the bathroom.

Here's my rant. There is nothing on the box that says it contains artificial sweeteners. It has sugar, honey, molasses, fruit, corn syrup, more sugar. So why in hockey sticks does it contain sorbitol!?!? Why? Why!?! Is Sunbelt sadists? It makes no sense to use it when you are using regular sugar, honey, molasses....

Evil sneaky $#*!......

The lesson learned is nothing new goes into this mouth without reading the label.

I don't touch anything with Sorbitol. It does bad bad bad things to my digestive tract that last for a couple days. Very Very Bad things! I guess since they use it for a laxative I shouldn't be surprised. Some people are just much more sensitive to it than others. I'm just "lucky" to be one of those Some people!

Sorbitol can be used as a laxative via an oral suspension or enema. As with other sugar alcohols, gastrointestinal distress may result when food products that contain sorbitol are consumed.
Yep, that pretty much sums it up!
