At the bottom of the FFF Custom Columns config tab, there's a checkbox for "Allow custom_columns_settings from personal.ini to override" that you need to check. Then you can use
custom_columns_settings to populate
Fimf site specific metadata into custom columns.

Use custom_columns_settings with the '
,a' flag after that column.
