USB crashes aside, I think the CPU proved to be more than enough powerful. The experience was much better on the high end tablet tests, though. A good consolidated configuration is needed to do fair comparisons. One point, the latency: local update vs remote update can be distant by seconds.
P.S.: @vdp, I tried the x2vnc trick (desktop extension, or transfer of local keyboard and mouse, to pair with "non mirroring" VNC servers) you reported... Nice and potentially very useful (necessary in some configurations). But I recommend that you try x11vnc. Another "screen mirroring" solution is x0vncserver (but I only tried it yesterday).
