And they love being happy puppies. Whenever they see a person, any person, they strain at the leash because they want HUGS!! People are rather taken aback by this ... they expect these two dogs to tear into them. However, after I (1) ask them if they are afraid of dogs and (2) ask them if they would mind giving the girls hugs .... if they do hug them (and survive getting big wet sloppy lick/kisses), then the girls are more than willing to let them go in peace.
But, they cannot pass by either a potential new friend, or an old friend. When it comes to old friends, they practically drag me over so they can say "hi" and get the obligatory hugs.
There simply MUST be HUGS!!
