Yes, I was trying to figure it out. There is an absolute <a href> reference to an image as well as the <img> tag like:

It caused extra blank pages around those tags. They just didn't look right, but I wanted to make sure what was happening before I finished that previous message. I thought if you delete the <a href> to the .jpg it would be better, but it didn't help. The frontis.jpg and titlepage.jpg appear "invisible". Strange!
