I really appreciate your giving me the details on that. I suspect that I would be happier with a eBook reader that used a traditional file/folders hierarchy for the files.

I don't buy any books from Amazon, for reading books I download from Gutenberg.

I also listen to a lot of audiobooks (my cell phone is my player). I check audiobooks out of the local library. The checked out book that are not in *.mp3 format are ripped to the cell phone (Linux app Asunder) and the *.mp3 audio books are simply copied to it.

I am hearing impaired (service related from a Navy career) and the VA provides me with hearing aids that have a bluetooth connection too. I can wear a device around my neck (Compilot II) and it will pipe the audiobooks from the cell phone and into my hearing aids. Very good quality audio and in stereo, I can listen to music too and pipe my TV set audio into my hearing aids also.

I think the Kindle is not going to be around much longer and I appreciate the feedback I'm getting here.
