That they will not do. The model for the Kindle is that the price of the book includes wireless delivery. And, providing wireless access to the store gains them revenue... pressing "buy" at the end of a sample book is probably their biggest source of ebook sales.

However, they may start charging for the "experimental" stuff. Basically the web browser at this point.

At least, the above has always been there stated plans.

I have no idea what they pay... but I'm sure it is much less than you expect. They are probable set up as an MVNO with Sprint and pay wholesale rates. And I guess the MORE they use the less they pay for it. It would be no where what each Kindle users would have to pay if they contracted with Sprint themselves.

Also, with the problems Sprint is having, they don't want to risk loosing this revenue.
