I edit the book and SVG wrap the image with the code to maintain Aspect ratio (look at the Calibre added cover code on the titlepage.

Some folk hate not having every inch filled, even if distorted.
Me, I always wanted (since I got my first Laser Disc in the 80's) wanted letterboxed movies rather than that Pan-and-scan c**p
