I have experienced the described bug on my H2O (version 1), but with an older firmware (4.3.8945).
I would turn off the light, and then, when I opened the ereader (by opening my cover) sometime later, the light would be turned on again. This does not happen all the time; recently I haven't experienced it (but I only notice the problem after the last time the ereader upgraded its firmware - and this is the version currently on my ereader).
