Sounds like I am in the minority here, but I think an Ipad is one of the worst options for optoabhi.
1. Preference for e-ink was stated several times.
2. Ipads (except for the Pro series) do not properly support handwriting with a stylus. Again, this was a requirement that was clearly stated.
3. Android tablets with stylus support (I mentioned a few above) are cheaper than the Ipad Pro, without ANY disadvantages whatsoever when it comes to pdf support. Case in point: Ipad Pro 10-inch: $650, Samsung Galaxy Tab with S-Pen: $350.
4. Good Android tablets without stylus support are much cheaper than a non-Pro Ipad and again provide the same functionality, with dozens of pdf readers available from the Play store. But again, this is not what the OP wants.
