Well, I've only been writing on it for a minutes but it is faster than the S1 and feels like much more of a natural writing experience. I don't notice any lag or refresh. Sony obviously worked hard to make improvements in that area.
I suppose it depends on how fast you write, but I have tried to write fast and I don't get a sense of the device lagging behind my writing.
