Curiously it works fine on my H2O. I wonder if one of the patches I have enabled could somehow be causing an issue?

eta - tried again on my KA1. I must have goofed on a step, it's now working. Many thanks for posting this method. I enjoy nightmode some of the time, and having to plug in my KA1 to edit the config file between true and false was a pain.
