Amazon did not have to purchase the owner of the Ivona voice system, nor even if they had, choose it to solve their missing HID problem for the courts.
They purchased Ivona at about the same time we incorporated speaker independent voice recognition and control into the Kindle Touch.
And we certainly did not have to increase the RAM size of the Kindle Touch nor speed up the processor to do it.
