I am taking the title of this thread very literally, and placing this collection of digital journals (academic or academically-inclined magazines) on this thread.
The Biblical Archaeology Society, which is best known, I'm sure, for its flagship publication Biblical Archaeology Review, is having a Summer Blowout Sale.
BAS' sales are rather infrequent, but when they have one it is usually a good one. Such is the case with this sale.
I won't list everything in the sale--for one reason, not everything qualifies for inclusion on this thread--but I do want to highlight the $38.97 BAR archive DVD from of all issues from 1975-2012. With BAR being a bi-monthly publication the entire time, I'm all but certain, that averages out to just a little over $1 per issue!
The blurb for this item is truly helpful:
Get instant, easy access to more than 4,100 BAR articles and 13,000 breathtaking photos, maps, drawings and charts—220 issues in all! The brand new format on this cross-platform DVD allows for easier printing, better searching and more accessible images. You’ll soon be enjoying BAR’s special features, news stories, columns and trivia!
Head over to
this webpage to see all that's in the sale.
When they say that it is a summer sale, they really mean a
summer sale--it lasts until August 31, 2017.
