Perhaps if this model succeeds at this price point beyond what they expect, they will release a web connected model. That would be the best of both worlds.
I for one will not let this change my decision to buy. I have just pre-ordered and can not wait to get my hands on this. My home computer is always connected, and syncing isn't a big deal to me. If anything it will keep me focused on the task at hand and I'll be unable to distract myself with the wild wild net.

Killing a feature this way is stupid. There are other features like buttons XD XD to change a setting.... from autosync to manual sync.... cloud sync to "wired" sync
