Recently my Glo HD has not been charging. The screen is stuck on "please charge your ereader." When charging, however, nothing seemed to happen. The computer did not recognize it when plugged in, either.
I have tried all the resets, as well as different cables, all with no results. Today I decided to open it up and see if there was any visible issues. I immediately noticed that the ereader starts smoking profusely when plugged in. Has anyone else encountered something similar?
I did try to contact Kobo, but they were useless. They told me to reset with the button, even after I had explained that I had already tried this. They then told me that it was out of warranty and was no longer their concern. They did not seem concerned at all that it is smoking.
The smoke is coming out of the area circled in the picture.
