So, you did what I said: decided the importance of the features and implement as needed.

And yes, people have been putting PIN locks on devices for almost as long as they have been making them. I'll stick with my point that over recent years the security factor has been pushed more. That will result in devices created now getting locks that might not have 10 years ago.
