Maybe because that's cos they're over, like, in a flash?
So far I've never had anything that felt like flash fiction to me. A few ideas felt short from the time I first sat down with them, but short for me is still a some thousands of words. ... I think it's mostly to do with what interests me to read, and I've never really appreciated flash fiction as some people obviously do.
