The only time I can recall not getting excellent customer service from Amazon involved an odd situation. I'd bought an ebook some time ago, and the author had republished it with a new ASIN. Since the original was a Topaz-format book that won't convert to EPUB, I contacted Amazon to see if they could put the new version in my account. The agent I spoke with seemed to have trouble understanding the concept of "same book, new ASIN" and thought that when I was asking to get the new version, what I meant was that I couldn't figure out how to send my original purchase to my device. In the end, I wasn't able to get the updated version, but I figured it'd be a long shot anyway.
