I rang them again today and after over 15 minutes on the phone nothing was resolved. It was all me, the book wasn't eligible, the code had expired, I didn't know how to use, anything she could use as an excuse. I've decided to just go with the flow now, if a code works fine, if not i'll buy from Amazon, 90% of the time the books are cheaper anyway. I know Kobo offer a price match but tbh its better for me to just buy from Amazon.
If Kobo ever want to seriously compete its their "customer service" they need to work on. That's what lets them down and sends customers away.
