Sideloading bugs are reported in play store comments.
I sideload always in epub, to moon, so not an issue for me.
I would use kindle app only for actual amazon books, just to have x ray and sync
As a test,
I switched k for samsung to k for android from play store. Looks identical. I hate the top and bottom margins, which are much better on my fire tablet.
Browse store is crap also, it loads amazon website home page
